How To Install and Activate the AloSIM eSIM
Just as it is with any other eSIM providers, before you begin the purchasing and installation process, you need to confirm that your mobile device supports the use of a digital SIM.

Once the account is created and you have activated it through the confirmation email sent to your inbox, you can log in and then proceed to purchase a plan.
There is a search bar at the top that you can use to search and select the country which you want to purchase a plan for.
When you select the country, you will be shown multiple eSIM data plans which you can choose from, depending on the timeframe of your trip and how much data you can use within that period.
Then, pay for the plan you have selected through any of the payment methods that best appeal to you.
After you have purchased an AloSim eSIM data package, go to the “My eSIMs” page.
There, you will see the package you just paid for and a button under it written “Install Your eSIM” with an arrow following it. Click on that button and then you can go on to install it.
The installation process can be done in two ways: through a QR Code or Manually.
QR Code
To install your eSIM using this method, first of all, screenshot the QR code in which you are provided.
After that, go to your mobile device’s ‘Settings’ page and select ‘Connections’ (or whatever word is used in its place).
Then, select ‘Sim Card Manager’ and proceed to ‘Add Mobile Plan’.
You will see an option to scan the QR Code, and then you can use it to scan the screenshot of the code you had taken earlier, and the eSIM will be installed.
Manually
Following the same process you used for the QR code method, when you click on ‘Add Mobile Plan’, you will see an option to add a code manually.
You can then go ahead and copy the eSIM ID from the installation page, paste it in the space provided, and install the eSIM manually.
Note: When the installation is complete, make sure you check your mobile device’s ‘Mobile Networks’ and confirm that the name and Access Point Name of the eSIM are saved as alosim.
Now, to the activation process.
The activation of your AloSim eSIM marks the start of its validity period so it’s best that you activate it just when you are about to start your trip or midway through your trip so that you can start using it once you get to your destination.
However, the process of activating your eSIM varies based on the device you are using.

Remember to set the ‘Network Operators’ setting of your device to ‘Select Automatically’ so that your device can choose the best mobile network for you out of the various data networks available in your location.
This way, once you get to your destination, it will automatically be connected to a local network, and you can start using the internet immediately after you land.
When you get to your destination, log into your AloSim mobile app, tap on your eSIM, and make sure that it has ACTIVE written on it with a green bar.
Note: Make sure you turn on Data Roaming for your eSIM and turn it off for your primary SIM, to avoid costly roaming charges.
